Principal's Welcome
Tim Mulhall
It is with great enthusiasm and a warm heart that I welcome you to Marlborough Primary School. As the principal, I consider it an honour to lead this caring and dedicated community of educators and learners.
It gives me great joy working alongside my staff every day to ‘strive for excellence’ in all of our students’ educations. We hold ourselves and the children to high standards and work hard to ensure all students are given the opportunity to achieve their personal best.
Our school culture ensures that students are at the heart of everything we do. Every decision we make prioritises their learning and wellbeing.
Personally, I am fiercely passionate about all students achieving their version of excellence in education. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to make an impact in many schools across the state. Previously, I have worked with the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, where I mentored teachers across Victoria from the Government, Private and Catholic sectors. I worked in the Department of Education School Improvement Workforce supporting school leaders and coaching teachers to improve student learning outcomes in many different schools. Supporting students to achieve success has been, and remains to be, one of the reasons I love working in education. Alongside academic excellence, the social and emotional development each child is equally important. An understanding of self, how maintain a healthy state of wellbeing, and the skills and dispositions to have productive and enriching relationships are seen as essential at our school. Through the school values of Respect, Responsibilty, and Inclusivity, our children don’t just become good students, they become good people.
My hope is that when students are ready to leave Marlborough and move into secondary education that they will be ready to approach this new challenge with confidence and optimism with what the future has to offer them. To do this, I look forward to continuing to work alongside the community to ensure that Marlborough Primary School is the school of choice for our current and prospective families.
